It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Civil Engineering at Shri Siddheshwar Women’s Polytechnic, Solapur. Established in the year 2009, our department has consistently strived to provide quality technical education and develop competent diploma engineers ready to meet the challenges of the construction industry. The department is proud to be accredited three times by National Board of Accrediation, New Delhi, which reflects our commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement. With an approved intake of 30 students, we ensure a focused and supportive learning environment. Our well-established laboratories - including Engineering Mechanics, Surveying, Mechanics of Structures, Concrete Technology, Geotechnical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering - are equipped with modern facilities, with a total investment of approximately ₹55 lakhs. These labs provide strong practical exposure and help students bridge the gap between theory and real-world applications. We are supported by a team of experienced and dedicated faculty members who adopt interactive teaching-learning methods. Regular expert lectures, industrial visits, and workshops are organized to enhance students’ technical knowledge and industry readiness. The department emphasizes the overall personality development of students. We actively encourage participation in both curricular and extracurricular activities. Our students have brought pride to the institution by winning more than 100 prizes in technical events such as poster presentations, paper presentations, and project competitions, along with over 150 prizes in extracurricular activities. We are also proud to have secured the Runner-Up position twice at DIPEX.
